ABOUT

Jonathan Gleason is a writer, instructor, medical interpreter, and recent graduate of the University of Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program. He is currently working on a collection of essays about illness, medicine and the body. His manuscript "Field Guide to Falling Ill" was a recipient of a 2023 grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation, shortlisted for the Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize, a finalist for the Miami Book Fair Emerging Writer Fellowship.  His writing, including pieces of this collection, have appeared or are forthcoming in The Sun Magazine, Literary HubNew England Review, The Kenyon Review, Colorado Review, Michigan Quarterly ReviewFugue, Denver Quarterly, Redivider Journal and others.
